Using my eGift and Physical Gift Card
You can redeem your Gift Card at participating Shell branded service stations Australia-wide. To locate the nearest service station to you, please use our fuel finder and select your card type (eGift Card or Physical Gift Card). It will help you find your nearest service station quickly and effortlessly.
To redeem your Physical Gift Card in-store, swipe the card through the EFTPOS machine and enter the 4-digit PIN on the back of the card when prompted. The transaction will be completed once the payment is approved.
If your purchase is larger than your card balance, ask the store team member to redeem the Gift Card for the exact amount available on the card. Then pay the remaining balance with cash or another form of payment.
To redeem your eGift Card in-store, you need to add the eGift Card to your Mobile Wallet and tap your Mobile Wallet on their EFTPOS/VISA machine to make a contactless payment.
eGift Cards are supported by all mobile wallets; Apple Pay, Google Wallet and Samsung Pay.
To add your eGift Card to your Mobile Wallet, follow the below steps:
- Go to the Wallet app on your mobile device.
- Click on the plus (+) icon.
- Select Debit/Credit or Payment card on the next screen.
- Enter your card details from your eGift.
- Your card has now been added to your mobile wallet.

No, you cannot print your eGift Card to redeem in-store. Team members are unable to scan or manually input the eGift Card details into their system to process the payment. Your eGift Card needs to be added to your mobile wallet by going to the Wallet app on your mobile device and adding the eGift Card through the Debit/Credit or Payment Card section.
If your purchase is larger than your balance, ask the store team member to process the eGift Card for the exact amount available on the card. Then pay the remaining balance with another form of payment. These are called “split transactions.” Some stores do not allow cardholders to carry out split transactions. Some stores will only allow you to do a split transaction if you pay the remaining amount in cash.
Buying the Gift Card
An eGift Card is sent via email and can be used for in-store purchases. eGift Cards are supported by mobile wallets; Apple Pay, Google Wallet and Samsung Pay.eGift Cards offer a convenient and fast way to give a gift, as they can be delivered instantly and used immediately.
Physical Gift Cards are available for purchase instore at participating Shell branded service stations Australia-wide. You can find a Shell Gift Card service station by using our Fuel finder tool and selecting ‘Gift Cards – Physical Gift Cards’ in the ‘Services and Amenities’ section. It will help you find your nearest service station quickly and effortlessly.

Businesses can register for an account online at Corporate Card Store.
To ensure the legitimacy of the business, certain information such as business name, ABN, address, and other relevant details will be requested during the registration process. This information helps verify the identity of the business as a legitimate Australian entity. Upon submission of the registration, the account undergoes a review process for approval. Once approved, the account creator will receive an email containing login details.
Physical Gift Cards:
Gift Cards purchased instore and online can be loaded with a value ranging from $20 to $500.
eGift Cards:
Gift Cards purchased online can be loaded with a value ranging from $5 - $500.
Vouchers and Gift Cards cannot be used as payment methods for purchasing Gift Cards.
General Questions
eGift and Physical Gift Cards do not require any activation process.
Once a Gift Card has been purchased, it is important to note that the value cannot be increased or reloaded. The initial value of the Gift Card remains fixed and cannot be modified after purchase.
Feel free to use your Gift Card multiple times until the balance reaches zero. If your purchase amount exceeds the remaining balance, you can cover the difference by using an alternative form of payment.
No. The Gift Card can be reused until the balance reaches a nil value, no matter how small the balance.
You cannot use your Gift Card for:
- cash or payment of credit, store or Shell Card accounts;
- to purchase Gift Cards;
- some products and services instore;
- Withdraw cash at ATM or EFTPOS facilities.

All Gift Cards expire 4 years from the date of activation. Some Gift Cards for promotions may have a shorter expiry date and this will be included in the Gift Cards promotional terms and conditions. It is your responsibility to check your card balance and expiry date.
Yes. Each time you use your Gift Card, the purchase amount is automatically deducted from the Card balance. If the transaction is declined the funds are not deducted as there is not enough balance to allow the transaction to be completed.

You can view your Physical Gift Card details online at Check Balance. You can also check your card balance at registers in stores or by calling 1300 554 268.
eGift Cards:
You can view your eGift Card details online at Card Balance. You can also call 1800 465 544.
Issues with the Gift Card
Apple, Google, and Samsung Wallets have limits to the total number of cards a user can have in their wallet at any one time. These companies have their own security process that may stop a user from being able to add a card to their digital wallet. Shell Gift Cards has no control of these security protocols put in place by Apple, Google, or Samsung Wallets.

Kindly treat your Gift Cards with the same level of care as cash. We are unable to resend or replace any lost Gift Cards.
There are a few possible reasons why your Gift Card may not work:
- The balance you have selected may not be available.
- The service station where you attempted to use your Gift Card may not be a participating venue. To locate the nearest Gift Card accepting service station to you, please use the fuel finder.
- Your Gift Card may have expired. Gift Cards have a 4-year expiry (48-months), which can be calculated from the date of issue.
If your card has funds, is not expired, and you tried to use it at a participating service station and encountered issues, please get in touch by calling 1300 554 268 for Physical Gift Card queries, and 1800 465 544 for eGift Card queries.
Once funds have been loaded onto a Gift Card, they are generally non-refundable unless the card is deemed faulty. Cash exchange for Gift Cards is not possible.
We may consider offering a refund for a Gift Cards only in situations where the card is unfit for its intended purpose due to technical malfunctions like swiping errors or illegible PIN. To obtain a refund in such cases, you will be required to provide proof of purchase. Please note that refunds are not provided for purchases made on a change of mind basis.
Due to their cash-like nature, Gift Cards cannot be exchanged, returned, or refunded. Please consider this policy when making your gift card selection.
